Indications
Zinc:Zinc is one of the elements that next to iron is the most abundant trace element in the body. This element is involved in the activities of more than 100 various enzymes, especially those that metabolize proteins and carbohydrates. The proper amount of zinc is effective in the performance of the immune system, speeding up wound healing, acne treatment, prevention of macular degeneration (loss of vision in the elderly), treatment of some cases of anorexia nervosa, olfactory and gustatory improvement, boosting and improvement of fertility in men especially smokers, articular rheumatism treatment ( with anti-inflammatory properties), Wilson disease treatment (disorder caused by too much copper storage in the body), growth and development during pregnancy, childhood and adulthood. Zinc as one of the most important minerals is effective in skin health, formation and strength of nails, and prevention and treatment of hair loss.
Insomnia or sleeplessness, photophobia, nervous disorders, impaired growth, thinning hair, hair loss, and slow healing of wounds are some the symptoms of zinc deficiency.
Vitamin C: This vitamin increases the absorption of zinc. Vitamin C is necessary for collagen production. Collagen is one of the connective tissue proteins found in various parts of the body including the skin, which strengthens skin tissue and prevents wrinkling. This vitamin by regulating the secretion of skin oil glands refreshes and enlivens the skin and prevents wrinkling. Also, it helps to maintain the health of the hair and faster healing of wounds.  Vitamin C protects the skin against the damaging UV rays of the sun. Also, as an antioxidant in the blood stream neutralizes the chemical impact of substances that damage the body tissues. This substance enhances the body’s immune strength, shortens the course of the disease and mitigates its complications. It also solidifies the gums and teeth and prevents blood clotting in the arteries.
Due to the role of vitamin C and zinc in the immune system improvement, they can be used to avoid and reduce the treatment duration of colds and flu.
